The Decorative Outlet Cover is an ongoing project I’m developing as part of my Creative Technology Master. This project is particularly exciting because it’s my first experience carrying a product from concept to manufactured object.
The assignment was to design an innovative, low-cost product under €20 without electronics.
We decided to tackle a common household safety problem, protecting children from electrical shocks, while making the solution visually appealing using acetate cellulose or recycled plastic with decorative patterns.
This project is an ongoing, hands-on exploration of product design, rapid prototyping, and creative problem-solving, giving me invaluable experience in transforming ideas into real, tangible products.
